1. General conditions
The website and APP of Salty Driver is owned by Salty Driver S.L. limited company registered in Spain with NIF: B-67822635 with corporate name in Camí Can Pastilla, 74, 07610 Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
These terms and conditions will govern the contractual relationship between Salty Driver and the customer. Salty Driver acts as an intermediary with the supplier.
Salty Driver works with private transport companies to offer its services. These companies are engaged in the inland transport of passengers and have all the necessary permits in accordance with the legislation in force.
Salty Driver acts as an agent for its suppliers (transport companies) so we cannot accept any liability arising from the provision of the services.
By booking on the Salty Driver website or APP, you agree that the contract for the use and provision of the service is established between you and our provider (the service provider). If the booking is made by an agency or any other person acting on your behalf, you are deemed to act as an agent of all passengers using the service and you. You agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, as well as any other information contained on the website.
By making a reservation, you confirm that you have read these Terms and Conditions and that you have the legal capacity to accept them on your behalf and on behalf of all passengers using the services.
These general conditions may change without notice and any changes will be communicated by email, by our application, our website or any other means you have provided to us for this purpose.
2. Payment and contract
Reservations can be made online through the website or the mobile app. If the booking is made for two or more people, the person making the booking is deemed to have done so on behalf of all passengers and accepts these terms and conditions on behalf of any passenger in the booking. The person making the reservation in your name must be at least 18 years old.
Full payment is required at the time of booking, which will have to be made by credit/debit card by the same means as the reservation. Once the full payment has been received, Salty Driver will process the booking and after your confirmation will send to the person who made the reservation the details of the transfer services you have booked and the corresponding voucher. This must be presented to the driver at the time of the journey (printed or digital) and is essential to enjoy the service.
3. Amendments to the reservation
Reservation modifications can be made free of charge up to 24 hours before the use of the first service booked with Salty Driver. To do so, send an email to info@saltydriver.com with your request and indicating the number and name of the reservation.
Changes made less than 24 hours prior to the use of the first service have an additional cost and the company cannot guarantee that it can always be satisfied, as it will be subject to availability. To do this, send an email to info@saltydriver.com with the name and booking number.
Modifications that generate additional charges must be paid before service.
4. Minors: price and seats
Any passenger, regardless of age, shall be taken into account in determining the ability of the vehicle to be used. Therefore, infants and minors must be entered in the total number of passengers at the time of booking.
EU Directive 2003/20/EC provides for the use of an appropriate child seat up to the age of 12 or up to a height of 135 centimetres. It should be noted that licensed taxis are exempt from this rule. There is no additional cost to the child seat service.
If there are no child seats available, from the age of 3 one can always travel with a seat belt on; children under 3 can travel without being restrained, as long as they are in the rear of the vehicle.
5. Cancellations
Cancellations must be made through the Salty Driver app or by sending an email to info@saltydriver.com. If you cancel your reservation more than 24 hours before using the contracted service, you will be fully reimbursed for the payment of your reservation. All refunds will be refunded in the original form of payment and the account that was used at the time of booking.
If you cancel your reservation less than 24 hours before the date you use the first contracted service you will not be entitled to any refund.
In extraordinary cases, and if our carrier is forced to make a significant change in the conditions of service, or to cancel the service, we will make the necessary efforts to find viable alternatives to any confirmed reservation that we need to cancel. If we are finally obliged to cancel your reservation, you will be refunded the full amount of the reservation and this refund will cover all obligations to the customer arising from such cancellation.
6. Luggage
Customers are limited to a maximum of 2 person pieces, one of them being a piece of carry-on baggage. Salty Driver must be informed of any extra baggage at the time of booking for which there may be a surcharge. This includes sports equipment, wheelchairs, etc. In the case of excess undeclared baggage, extra charges will be made, which must be paid in advance at the start of the transfer, or we reserve the right to refuse the transfer of the pieces. Luggage must be labelled with the name of the owner and the address of the destination.
7. Performance
Salty Driver will ensure that your vehicle/s picks you up at your pick-up point at the time set in the reservation and that you arrive at your destination on time. However, Salty Driver is not responsible for delays due to causes beyond its control.
Despite the will and work of Salty Driver to ensure that any delay, if any, is minimal, we appreciate in advance your understanding during the high summer season and on weekends, as there may be occasional delays.
Salty Driver is not responsible for the possible difficulties or failure of the service if customers, at the time of travel, do not have their travel documents that prove their reservation. In this case, no return claim will be accepted.
The transport company responsible for providing the service contracted through Salty Driver will be responsible for making the transfer with minimum inconvenience and inconvenience. However, some circumstances beyond our control may prevent us from performing the service in these comfortable conditions. These include, for example, accidents causing vehicle delay; adverse weather conditions; responding to police requirements; unforeseen traffic jams; industrial work by third parties; problems caused by other customers; or other circumstances affecting the safety of passengers.
In exceptional cases, the driver of the transport undertaking may drop off and pick up passengers at a point other than the place of accommodation if access, to the exact address of the accommodation, may cause delays or inconvenience to other passengers or there are access problems.
Salty Driver will only be liable for reasonable losses as a direct result of the breach of contract. In such cases, our liability will be limited to €75 per booking.
Salty Driver reserves the right, at any time, to assign any part (or all) of this agreement to associated or subcontracted companies or any third party.
If the transport company does not carry out the transfer of the passengers to their destination, due to circumstances under its control, Salty Driver will provide a replacement transport service, such as another coach, private car, taxi, etc. Any refund, made by Salty Driver, for the costs of an alternative transport incurred by the customer, in order to reach his destination, cannot exceed the cost equivalent to that of a taxi to that same destination point.
8. Responsibility of the customer
It is the obligation of the customer to make known any difficulties with the services we provide in the shortest possible time, in order to be able to find a solution as soon as possible.
It is the obligation of the customer to do everything in his power to mitigate any loss. If the transport takes more than 10 minutes to arrive, the customer can contact the driver as their details (mobile phone) appear in the mobile app. In case the client does not notify, Salty Driver will not compensate any mishap.
It is the client’s obligation to be punctual for its collection.
For transfers from the airport, the driver will wait a maximum of 1 hour for guests to arrive after the arrival time of the flight. After this time and if you do not receive any notification from the customer (via the app), the driver will leave. In this case the reservation money will not be refunded and in case you can provide a new service an additional charge will be charged.
In the rest of transfers the maximum waiting time is 10 minutes after the booked time. After this time and in case of no notification, the driver will leave and the payment of the reservation will not be refunded.
9. Conduct of the passenger
Salty Driver and the transport company have the right to refuse service to any passenger who, according to the driver’s criteria, is under the influence of alcohol or drugs; or whose conduct may be considered dangerous to the driver of the vehicle, for third parties or for themselves.
The consumption of alcoholic beverages in the carrier’s vehicles is not allowed during the journey. This prohibition also applies to drugs. Smoking or eating inside the vehicle is not permitted.
10. Travel insurance
It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance coverage you have purchased is adequate for your particular needs. We recommend that you carefully read the details of your insurance policy and take them with you on your holiday.
11. Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the Spanish legislation in force.
The contract agreed between you and Salty Driver will be regulated in accordance with Spanish law. Disputes or claims arising in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Spanish courts.
If any of the stipulations contained in these conditions and clauses is declared illegal, null or unenforceable by judicial decision, the remainder of the clauses contained herein shall remain in full force and effect.
12. Claims
In the event that you are dissatisfied with any part of the service provided, please contact us within a maximum period of 28 days from the day of the transfer, so that we can investigate the facts. The data must be sent to us by e-mail to info@saltydriver.com.
