The website and mobile app (APP) of Salty Driver are owned by Salty Driver S.L., a limited company registered in Spain with NIF B-67822635, with registered address at Camí Can Pastilla, 74, 07610 Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
These general conditions govern the contractual relationship between Salty Driver and the client. Salty Driver acts as an intermediary with the service provider.
Salty Driver works with private transport companies that hold all required licenses and permits in accordance with current legislation.
Salty Driver acts as an agent on behalf of its suppliers (transport companies) and thus cannot accept responsibility arising from the provision of the services.
By booking on the Salty Driver website or APP, you accept that the contract for the provision of the service is established between you and our provider. If the booking is made by an agency or another person acting on your behalf, they are considered an agent for all passengers included in the booking. You agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and by any other information contained on the website.
By making a booking, you confirm that you have read these Terms and Conditions and that you have the legal capacity to accept them on your behalf and on behalf of all passengers included in the booking.
These conditions may be modified without prior notice. Any change will be communicated via email, through our APP, our website, or any other means you have provided.
Bookings may be made online through the website or the APP. If the booking is made for more than one person, the person completing the booking accepts these terms on behalf of all passengers. The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old.
Full payment is required at the time of booking via credit or debit card. Once full payment is received, Salty Driver will process the reservation and send the confirmation and booking voucher. This voucher must be presented to the driver (printed or digital) in order to use the service.
Modifications may be made free of charge up to 24 hours before the first booked service. To request a change, send an email to info@saltydriver.com indicating your name and booking number.
Changes requested less than 24 hours before the first service may incur additional costs and depend on availability. In such cases, email the same address with your request.
Any modification that generates additional charges must be paid before the service.
All passengers, regardless of age, must be included in the total number of passengers for the vehicle.
According to EU Directive 2003/20/EC, children must use an appropriate child seat until the age of 12 or a height of 135 cm. Licensed taxis are exempt. Child seats provided by Salty Driver are free of charge.
If no child seats are available:
Children over 3 years old may travel with a seat belt.
Children under 3 years old may travel unrestrained only in the rear seat.
Cancellations must be made through the Salty Driver APP or by email to info@saltydriver.com.
Cancelling more than 24 hours before the service: full refund.
Cancelling less than 24 hours before the service: no refund.
In exceptional cases, if the transport provider must significantly alter or cancel the service, Salty Driver will make every effort to find a suitable alternative. If cancellation is unavoidable, a full refund will be issued, covering all obligations toward the client.
Each customer may bring up to 2 pieces of luggage, one of which must be hand luggage. Any extra luggage must be indicated during booking and may incur additional fees (including sports equipment, wheelchairs, etc.).
Undeclared excess luggage may result in extra charges or refusal of transport.
All luggage must be labelled with the owner’s name and destination address.
Salty Driver will ensure that your vehicle arrives at the designated pickup point at the scheduled time and reaches your destination on time. However, Salty Driver is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond its control.
During high season or weekends, delays may occasionally occur.
Customers must carry their booking voucher. Without it, no compensation or refund claims will be accepted.
The transport provider is responsible for ensuring a safe and comfortable journey. However, external factors—such as accidents, weather conditions, police controls, traffic congestion, third-party roadworks, or other safety-related issues—may affect service quality.
In exceptional circumstances, the driver may collect or drop off passengers at a nearby point if reaching the exact address would cause delays or difficulties.
Salty Driver’s liability for direct losses is limited to €75 per booking.
If the transport provider cannot complete the journey for reasons within their control, Salty Driver will arrange alternative transport. Any refund for alternative transport costs cannot exceed the equivalent cost of a taxi to the same destination.
The customer must report any issue with the service as soon as possible so it can be resolved promptly.
The customer must take all reasonable measures to minimize any loss. If the transport is more than 10 minutes late, the customer must contact the driver (whose contact details are provided in the APP). Failure to do so will void any claim for compensation.
The customer must be punctual for pickup.
Airport pickups: the driver will wait up to 1 hour after the flight’s arrival time.
If no notification is received from the customer, the driver will leave. No refund will be issued.
A new service may be offered at an additional cost.
Other transfers: maximum waiting time is 10 minutes after the scheduled pickup time.
If no notification is received, the driver will leave without refund.
Salty Driver and the transport provider may refuse service to any passenger who, in the driver’s judgment, is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or whose behavior may endanger the driver, themselves, or others.
The following is prohibited:
Consumption of alcohol
Consumption of drugs
Smoking
Eating inside the vehicle
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that their travel insurance provides adequate coverage. We recommend reading your insurance policy carefully and keeping a copy with you during your trip.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Spanish law.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Spanish courts.
If any clause is declared invalid or unenforceable, the remaining clauses shall continue in full force.
If you are dissatisfied with any part of the service, you must contact us within 28 days from the date of the transfer so we can investigate.
